Epicor Differences

Targeted to medium-size companies with $50 - $250 Million in revenues.

Front office/CRM (Customer Relationship Management).  The front office/CRM goes beyond contact management and includes sales force automation and marketing automation.

End to end solution in some ways similar to Tier One products (SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle) with much of the functionality but at 40% of the cost.

Warehouse management that includes scanning receipts, picking, shipments…and update of system using RF (Radio Frequency).

Light manufacturing including a configurator .

Multiple Currencies. Epicor supports three currencies at a transaction level. You can generate financial reports in home and operational currency using actual conversion rates and not average rates. Three currencies will provide more accurate reporting, which would be useful with fluctuating currencies.

OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) is included.

eProcurement. With the acquisition of Clarus Corporation  in December 2002, Epicor has now added Sourcing (identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers), eProcurement, and Settlement (invoice presentment and payment).

eFieldService. Epicor has recently released eFieldService, which is geared to organizations in the service industry who have field service representatives. eFieldService is integrated with their front office (CRM) and back office application.

Consolidation and inter company processing. Epicor offers strong consolidation and inter company processing features.
