Cost.
It will cost about $35,000 for software and services for a 5 user system
that includes Accounts Receivable, Order Processing, Purchasing, Inventory
Control, Work Orders, and Bill of Materials. Infinity is integrated with
ACCPAC's general ledger and accounts payable system.
Terms.
You pay the lesser of the contract price or the perceived value of the
system. So, if you are not happy, you only pay MDKS what you think they
deserve. So far, all clients have paid the contract price.
.NET.
Infinity was recently written from scratch using .NET
technology.
Local
Developer. MDKS, with 40 employees in the Waterloo area,
is not only the developer of Infinity but also provides
assurance, tax, consulting and ACCPAC implementation services. MDKS is
prepared to customize their system to meet the specific requirements of
their clients.
Pricing functionality. Functionality includes family pricing
(discounts across multiple products that belong to the
same family group), global price changes, contract pricing, multiple price
list, volume breaks...
Advanced order processing. Infinity includes a configurator,
upselling, catalogues, product finder, remote order processing using a
palm pilot...
Warehouse Management. MDKS has developed their own warehouse
management system using wireless technology.
Work
Orders. Infinity will generate work orders that can be tracked through
the plant using by scanning bar codes.
eCommerce. MDKS will also set up your eCommerce site or link to your
existing web site. Expect to pay about $5,000 for the Infinity eCommerce
solution.
