Target
market. Multiview is different in targeting a broad spectrum of
organizations starting with $10 Million in revenues to $100 Billion.
Installation Base. 600 clients worldwide with 15% in Canada
Accounting System. Multiview takes a different approach than
traditional systems, which use a segmented accounting code to track all
the accounting dimensions such as division, department, region ...)
Multiview has 3 segments (Unit, Account and Project) and you can attach
unlimited analysis codes to each segment. For example, a department or
region code could be attached to a unit. Although financial transactions
don't contain department or region, you can still generate financial
reports by department or region in Multiview. Multiview supports multiple
structures so that if things change (for example, a department is
re-assigned to another unit), you can use multiple structures to account
for the change in the organization. There are big benefits to Multiview's
approach including a simplified chart of accounts and flexibility in
analyzing operations across multiple dimensions.
Bucketless. Multiview does not keep a summarized view by month of
financial transactions. You can generate a financial report for any period
of time including multiple years.
Reporting. Multiview uses an Excel like tool that allows you to
view changes dynamically and generate a large variety of reports using one
template.
Scalability. Multiview is one of the few accounting systems to use the
Oracle database management system which includes the advantage of
scalability so that even the largest of organizations can use Multiview.
Drill
down/around. You can drill down to source documents or drill around to
any accounting related data.
Security. Multiview allows you to establish security for employees by
unit, account and project. You could limit access for all employees by a
division within a company. You could even limit access by customer or
vendor.
Business Intelligence. Multiview provides its own Online Analytical
Processing (OLAP) tools so that you don't need to buy other systems like
Cognos PowerPlay to slice and dice across multiple dimensions.
Integration with Excel. Financial reports can be easily downloaded to
Excel with headers, footers and formatting intact. You can also upload
from Excel to create ad hoc journal entries or budget entries.
Advanced financial functionality. Multiview's advanced features
include multiple currencies, allocations, consolidation, statistical
reporting, inter-company processing, unlimited budgeting ...
Support. Multiview assigns a certified project manager (with an
accounting designation) and a customer support representative to new
customers. In this way, you can speak directly to someone at Multiview who
knows your situation when seeking help.
