Looking back

180 Systems is having our best year with revenue growth of about 40% over last year. It’s ironic that we are growing so quickly now, when as some of you know, I have been doing this kind of work for a very long time. In fact, most of my colleagues, friends and even my spouse retired years ago. The reasons for growth have a lot to do with my partner, Alex Miles, who is young, smart and ambitious. We have also hired a great team – there are 8 of us now and hopefully you will have the opportunity to work with some of them. I will also take a little credit for our growth. I have been risk-averse my entire life, but my 4 “kids” are grown up now and are successful. It’s finally time to take some risk and grow the company. We are doing this by:

• hiring great people
• speaking at conferences (Toronto Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show in September and Boston Project Summit BA World in October)
• joining a number of organizations including The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO)
• offering new M&A services
• optimizing our website
• sending you our newsletter, which we hope you enjoy

I prefer to look ahead and look forward to working with you again or getting together sometime in the future.
