Scale AI

Scale AI

Scale AI is Canada’s artificial intelligence (AI) Global Innovation Cluster dedicated to boosting industry performance by leveraging AI technologies to improve value chains, with a specific focus on building resilient and sustainable supply chains.

Sale AI Funding

Scale AI is funded from the Governments of Canada and Quebec as well from the private sector through membership fees and strategic partnerships. The Government of Canada’s contribution to Scale AI amounted to $230M over 5 years, from April 1, 2018 until March 31, 2023. Additional funding of $53.4M has been granted by the Government of Québec. They have already funded $700M in AI projects as of December 2024 for some well-known companies per the following chart, which is a bit dated in terms of the total investment amount and was copied from their presentation entitled “Building an AI-Powered Economy for Canada”

As consultants, it’s our job to encourage our clients to consider getting their AI projects funded and to seek assistance from Scale AI who are still active and funding AI projects. We recommend you contact Grant Synergy at https://grantsynergy.ca/ for more information or try figuring it yourself at https://www.scaleai.ca/. Grant Synergy are experts in government funding programs and have secured over $520 million in funding through grants and loans, and helped more than 900 companies achieve their financial goals. 180 Systems has helped our clients with other government programs, but we don’t have experience with Scale AI.
