DMAP and the DCC Technology Demonstration Program (DCC Demo) are now active under the next phase of Ontario’s Digital Competence Centre initiative. The program continues to support small to medium-sized businesses (1–499 employees) in adopting and scaling digital technologies, with a strong focus on product-based companies, including manufacturing, food production, construction, and software product companies. An additional $5 million in funding has been added to expand support for eligible Ontario businesses looking to modernize and grow through digital adoption.
The program has two parts. DMAP helps businesses plan and prepare for digital changes, while the DCC Demo program helps them actually implement those solutions. The Demo program provides up to $50,000 in reimbursement funding (50% cost-sharing) for approved technology implementation projects based on the DMAP plan.
To be eligible, businesses must be Ontario-based, privately owned, and revenue-generating SMEs with 1–499 employees, and must have at least $750,000 in revenue in the past three tax years. The program is designed for companies that make or produce products, including manufacturers, food and beverage companies, construction-related product businesses, resource-based companies, and software product developers. Service-based and consulting businesses are not eligible.
Applications are not open directly to the public and must be started through an Digital Adoption Advisor using the AccessOCI system. As an approved advisor, 180 Systems helps businesses understand eligibility and guide them through both the DMAP planning and DCC Demo implementation process. The first step is a short discussion to see if the program is a good fit for your business.
